My name is Niamh Burns and I am from Northern Ireland. I'm 22 and like to write, travel, drink coffee, wine, and stuff my face with food on a regular basis. I'm currently a trainee journalist working towards an NCTJ qualification. I've wanted to become a journalist since I was 14 and have always had an unhealthy obsession with current affairs and what is happening around the world.
This blog will include news analysis, opinion posts, reviews, and generally anything that is related to activism, women's rights and feminism that I find need to be discussed. I'm a recent English literature graduate from Ulster University, having studied there between 2013 and 2016. My literary interests lie in gender theory, feminism, masculinity and sexual studies. I am sacrificing loads and working so hard this year in order to become a fully qualified journalist, it is about time that I sort my career out! I hope you have fun reading my blog!
